Privacy Policy
Draft for the beta, pending legal review. Operated by the operator of r18d.net.
People who scan a code
When you scan an r18d code or open an r18d.net short link, the app does not record your IP address, device, browser, or location, and sets no cookies. The only thing kept is a running count of scans per code per day, with nothing that identifies you. (Codes and short links are still being built; this is how they will work.)
If a code's owner turned on lost-and-found and you choose to send them a message, we keep what you type into that form. Sharing your location there is optional and happens only if you allow it in your browser.
Account holders
We keep what you need to use the service: your email address, password (stored hashed), the workspaces you belong to, and the content you add. When photo uploads arrive, photos will have their embedded metadata, including GPS coordinates, removed before they're stored. We don't log your activity, sell your data, or use advertising or analytics trackers. The site sets a login cookie only after you sign in.
Infrastructure
Like any website, requests pass through network equipment and a reverse proxy that may keep short-lived technical logs for security and troubleshooting. Those logs are not used to profile anyone, and the app itself stores none of them.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of your content or to delete your account.
